References: Notes:     Family folklore says Howard and Delia moved from Warren or Akeley, Pa. to Lennox St. in Jamestown, Ny. around 1925. They came in a 1925 touring car. Lennox was only a small rut of a road at that time and wasn't numbered yet. There was no house on the property so the family lived in a tent until Howard had the house finished enough to live in. The house was still there in the late 1990's when my Dad, Howard Jr. and I took a drive up there. I remember as a kid, visiting Howard Sr. when they lived up on "Swede Hill". He was a short, bald man, who chewed tobacco and almost always had some juice running out the corner of his mouth. His garage was set up as a workshop, with a table saw, and other woodworking tools. He was always self employed. It was said that was because he couldn't work for anyone else.
